After finishing my applications and applying, i figured i would google jobs with my degree to have some kind of income to either save up and get ready for grad school, travel, and of course get some mods Sure enough there was a moderate amount of listings that came up. I was a little surprised because i was under the impression that my degree was essentially useless and was only meant for people to go on to physical/occupational therapy schools or get their masters/PHD. The jobs i applied for included Exercise Physiology, Exercise/Fitness specialist, Workstation evaluator, and i even swallowed my pride and applied to be a personal trainer. Some applications will say experience preferred but not required or 1-3 years of experience, i usually meet the other requirements (degree,CPR, etc.) A few places for exercise specialist called me, but told me they were looking for someone with just a little prior experience. This experience has made me a little depress even though it wasn't part of my original plan to get a job with my degree, i am worried that i may not get accepted to graduate school since it has gotten super competitive in the past few years. Even if i find a job with my current degree im looking at 38-55k a year without much room to move up, unless i get lucky and land a job with an oil company some how. My plan now is to go back next semester and work on a degree for computer science and another degree to be a plant operator (can't remember the name of it) while working at the campus rec to get some experience. I'm just really afraid of failing in life and my window is kind of closing.
If you can't get hired because you don't have experience, lie and say you have experience.

Yup. That's how everyone else does it.

That's the kind of talk of those who are currently in power.

Were the people in Egypt at the top? Tunisia? Libya? Yemen? Bahrain? The degree of success varies but sitting on your ass saying "well I can't do anything today" just makes you dead weight holding the rest of us back.

Change is coming, you can sit in your cube or be a part of it. I'm not suggesting you go out and make a sign and waste a day standing around, just a little optimism, try to be a good person, not a selfish one.

That's a scary gamble, you'll get fired immediately without benefits if you get caught and likely will have a very hard time getting a job in that industry again. I get the point but it's a very sketchy prospect.

I think it's safe to assume everyone exaggerates, just be sure you can back up your story, ideally with corroborating accounts.

I know it's kind of stupid, but i really hate lying. I told myself years ago that i would try my best not to lie. Since i realized that the world i was living in was essentially one big lie, and 90% of the people around me were liars. However, i've started to come to realize that i just may have to lie in this situation... but i am also really bad at it.

Yea I wouldn't lie about experience unless you are VERY knowledgeable in your field. It will be quire apparent if you are interviewed by someone competent whether you actually have experience or not.

It's about carefully rewording the truth rather than outright lying.

that's your type's mentality at avoiding the problem

"i'm not at the top so i don't matter"

except that in big numbers you do, you matter very much, and in a very real way you matter leagues more than the top brass.

How many years have you been in college?

I was gainfully employed for four years during college, you bet your fucking ass my college years are experience. The degree actually has helped in the interviews I've had thus far.
