Tomei 60s installed!!

First I would like to say a massive thank you to Rick and his team at Rallysportdirect for getting the exhaust to me (7000miles away) in 4 days! Ordered on the 22nd and got it today. Went out and installed it and here is my review:

1. This exhaust is super light! Toyota/Subaru should be ashamed of putting such a heavy OEM exhaust on this car.
2. Quality of parts is amazing. The box included everything needed and all fasteners are high quality. You also get a nice chrome Tomei emblem (same as the Subaru one on the trunk) and a bunch of stickers.
3. Install was very easy and took 30min with normal hand tools
4. Initial startup I was pleasantly surprised with the way it sounded. A bit louder than stock and deeper but not by much. Once the car warms up it quiets down a lot too.
5. Driving at cruise the sound is deeper than stock but not much louder. Also when you are coasting to a stop the exhaust makes a few pops (I like these!)
6. Once you floor it this exhaust is LOUD. If your looking for a quiet street exhaust this is not it. Don't let the "S" in 60s fool you into thinking this very quiet. Having said that I really like the way it sounds and there is no rasp, droning, or rattling.( I have stock headers, uppipe, and front pipe).
7. I am extremely happy with the Tomei 60s and highly recommend it!!!!

Beautiful!!!

I agree with your review 100% it was spot on.

Also twice I just kissed the rev-limiter in 1st and the exhaust let out this nice crackle/pop sounds that is just intoxicating. Needless to say I love this exhaust

Thanks,
Rick

Anyone commenting about these being dual tips are missing the point of these exhausts entirely. They are designed to be the lightest system for 3 different types of build, loud/track/inocareboutnoise***** NA, street/ihavetocareaboutnoise NA, and FI.

yes but for those of us that want light more quiet exhaust without having to make the back of the car look funny missing a exhaust pipe it would be nice...

Sorry for the thread jack just love to hate this exhaust for that reason only.

You can look at Amuse's dual tip Ti catback. Tomei's offering emphasized on max weight savings and performance, not much on looks

A single exit on these cars seems like an unlikely choice, unless it's an FI application maybe. The JDM look is also nice if you set up the rest of the car that way.

Single exhaust sound is typically a lot more aggressive, especially the Tomei which is quite loud under acceleration (even 40-50% throttle). It's definitely a nice 'Racecar' type choice but since most of these cars are daily drivers, the smoother, more refined dual exhausts available compliment the car much more sound-wise IMO.

I tried the silencer and didn't feel it did much just revving the car. I haven't driven it with the silencer yet.
