A front door that short in a car this low? Unrealistic photoshop is unrealistic.

Try this: Pull your seat forward 6-8 inches from where you usually sit and get in (without using the rearmost 6-8" of door opening). Unless you're especially short, good luck not tweaking your knees and/or smacking your head.

And as someone else already mentioned, they'd have to increase the wheelbase.

You'd end up with diminished low-mid speed dynamics and increased weight. Essentially, a slightly less powerful (albeit significantly more fuel efficient) RX8. That has some appeal as the RX8 was a great car. But it would've been even more fun had Mazda made it lighter and shorter. Like the FT86 coupe.

for the love of god, tada, give up this horrid nonsense and focus on what the vast majority of the interested public has been asking for:

Imagine a FR-S/BRZ/GT86 type car with similar dimensions with a more powerful, more reliable, and better mileage, 9000rpm redline rotary.

Hurray. Now there's something to look forward to when the BRZ is unable to handle future family members or friends.
Not everyone who enjoys driving is antisocial, y'know!

a handful of us that love the car for what it is.

The biggest stories on this forum now involve "fr-s needs this, fr-s possibly getting that"....
Right on, I agree!

Good lord no! If you guys want a 4dr or a hatch go by a wrx. Don't ruin the image of this car by making a silly family ricer option. What they need to focus on is adding more power. I know if they did make a more powerful version I'd be a candidate to trade in.

No! You cannot have this, Americans don't like hatchbacks so we won't make it at all.
