I use shell v-power almost exclusively and the pump chirps like crazy. Have tried a few other brands but it's essentially the same. The nearest ethanol-free gas is about 30 miles away. Will probably get a couple of tanks anyway just to see if it helps.

TSB S-SB-0023-12 has a new revision, revision two, dated October 17, 2013. The old fuel pump part number that was used to replace the high pressure fuel pump was SU 003-00328. This new revision to the FR-S chirp issue dated October 17 changes the pump part number to SU 003-05176. I am supposed to get a call back this afternoon telling me that it is ordered or that they have to drive the car for 10 minutes before they can order it.
In short, revision two to the TSB for chirping is out. Old pump part number was
SU 003-00328
New part number
SU 003-05176.
I sure hope this is legitimate information
Does this apply to Subaru as well?

I was at the dealer to get the car diagnosed with the crickets so he could order the new pump the service tech said that the warranty place or whatever is closed on saturdays and that he would haav to place the order on monday . He made a claim paper and told me he would call me Monday . Last time I went there like 2 months ago for the cricke5s they didnt want to replace the pump since mine was the green dot one. Now there goin to replace it im guessin the new pump is legit ;-) ??

It is so far for me, only driven about 75 miles on it though. Not only are the crickets gone, but the engine is much less clattery now.

Ok, sad story here guys. I took my car in to have the fuel pumo TSB looked into. I was then told that there was a problem and something happened. Apparently the dealership managed to hit something with my car and now I have to get the whole bumper cover replaced and painted. I couldn't believe it. Then the guy tells me that They have been instructed not to change the pump and talk to toyota. I wanted to punch the service guy in the face right about then. Word to the wise, do not go to Priority Scion in Chesapeake VA for service. You might end up with the car in worse shape than it went in.

This is why I try to avoid service shops all-together. I don't know why but they very often seem to be completely incompetent.

This sounds like good news. Does anyone know if 2014 BRZs will come with this new pump straight from the factory?

Hoping my parts will be in Monday for the new pump. If that's the case, stay tuned for updates.

The new pump's operation is exactly the same, they have only found a way to insulate the pump. That is the solution now available.

I heard the chirp today from the newest pump To be fair, though, the chirp didn't occur at idle, but while I was braking to a stop, near 2000 rpm.
