Thanks for the advice. I've been applying for the past 3-4 months, because i was busy working on graduate school shadowing hours over the summer. Recently i have been pretty bumped about my situation. I'm considering going back to school and working on plans B,C, and D. It seems like most places don't want to hire me because i don't have experience, and that is a vicious cycle. Trying my best to earn it.

Not at all, I'll go ahead and explain my situation so if anyone has any advice they can chime in. I graduated with a degree in Kinesiology - Exercise science. My plan was to apply to graduate school for occupational therapy and since the process takes an entire year, I was going to take the year off and maybe travel or something. After finishing my applications and applying, i figured i would google jobs with my degree to have some kind of income to either save up and get ready for grad school, travel, and of course get some mods

Dont be afraid of getting rejected. I heard that it is really competitve in texas when it comes to getting in med school. Just apply to atleast 7 schools and some out of state. If that doesnt work out then continue with your plan b .

I'm saving up to go back and finish college up (2 years left). I have some friends that can get me a job once I get a degree. I would say getting into an IT job will be easier. Start off as help desk/general tech support and work your way up. |

Petroleum engineers have been making disproportionately more than other engineers this past decade. Good money is to be had in alternative energy/energy efficiency technologies.
Years ago I did computer engineering then decided to walk away from it and start from almost scratch by studying my other interest, wireless communications. Eventually landed some solid jobs in that field and been going strong ever since. I notice I've had a lot of luck in it in the midst of the recession because it seems to be a consistently growing field in which the supply of people in that industry is outstripped by the demand.
