It's an Audi, and it isn't an R8, so it'll understeer when pushed hard. I'll pass, thank you very much...

I drove an S5 just a month ago!
It had, and I am not exaggerating, the worst steering feel of any car I have driven in my entire life. This plethora of cars includes Minivans, shitboxes, and my beloved 1989 Volvo 240DL! It had no feel, it was unusually weighted and it was just way too quick lock to lock. Moving on, the gearbox was rubbery and vague, and completely threw me off because I had no idea a modern manufacturer could create something so bad in this day and age. The car was torquey, no doubt, but the sheer weight of the car made is feel so cumbersome. That combined with the steering made the car far too difficult to place on the road. And on top of that, the interior is not that nice, certainly not the "Audi Interior" that many people had hyped me about. Overall, one of the worst cars I've driven in my lifetime. Drove an S4 too and it was marginally better. Steering was a lot better, but everything else was pretty much the same. My friend who I was test driving this for ended up looking at a lot of different cars including the S5, S4, Cayman, S2000, Corvette, etc... You know where we ended? 1997 Toyota Supra. Yeah, big surprise... It's bone stock. Not a single mod. 48k miles. 6-spd.![]() Now, that's a drivers car, one that feels fast and feels right.

Not as nice as the BRZ would have, though. Everything I've driven pales compared to the BRZ/FR-S. The twins are incredible for the price. |

The DSG tranmission is surprisingly good. It doesn't have any of the things that annoy me with conventional automatics. It actually feels like a manual to drive. The weight is certainly there. You can't hide 2 tons. But it doesn't wallow as most double-ton vehicles ten to do. It changes direction reasonably crisply. The steering isn't great. The dynamic feature is a bit overblown with it being way too light in parking lots and a touch too heavy on the highway. As a BRZ replacement, it actually isn't a great car. At this price bracket a Porsche or Lotus would be a better choice by far. But as a Primary car that's comfortable and sporty at the same time, its pretty good. |

Walk into the club. Like, "What up, I gotta big cock."
I'm so pumped bout my Audi that's in the shop. Got steering feel that's so damn wonky, People like, "Damn, is he an ass or a donkey?" What's wrong with Audi? Those DSG gearboxes are awful when new and get worse with age. Constant clunking at low speeds. A new clutch? Oh, dear god. |

Love the post. I don't get why others get so offended, its obviously not meant 100% seriously and I don't see how a comparison between an s5 and brz could be 100% serious.
I always loved Audis though. s5 seems a top pick in that category but I've never driven one |
