I've had the car I dreamed of for years - '87 911 Cabriolet. Having got that out of my system I'm now able to keep my head on straight and appreciate my FR-S all the more.

And while you may not ever have the money to get one, know that there is at least one working model in existence that was sold at auction in 2009:

The funny thing about dream cars is that actually owning them never results in the grand experience that you dreamed it would be.

I just saved my money and kept the dream alive. I almost pulled the string in 2009 but my job prevented me from getting one. Finally I bit the bullet in 2013 and it truly is a dream come true. Every time I see a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, or you name it expensive super car I have a sense of pride in knowing that my GT-R makes those cars look really silly on a race track for a fraction of the cost. I am so happy that I did not overpay for true performance.

Some people do not like the looks of the GT-R but to me it is a piece of artwork. It just looks and drives in a way that is menacing and it kind of feels like you are a predator hunting for prey…

In a sense the BRZ is the same way with regard to its performance potential and what you get for the money. I have been blessed to own two of my most highly desired cars at the same time and I am very thankful.
Actually, I would say the BRZ is completely different, IMHO. It's nowhere close to the highest performance car you can get for the money - a Mustang w/V6 performance pack or a GT w/ track pack, or a Camaro 1SS will absolutely blow it out of the water in performance, but the BRZ is about the experience and feel, not about going as fast as possible. The GT-R on the other hand is about going as fast as possible for relatively cheap, and it didn't focus as much on the agility and experience (not that the experience is bad, mind you).

I think, the funny thing is, that it is not the concept that we wish to have, but a fully actualized and tuned version of the concept we see. Perhaps then, it would be the grand experience we've come to expect. Just theorizing.

No way to pick just one. Love lots of different stuff. But it would be dreamy to drive through Italy in a Zonda.
