Many more to come. Basically most of the after market brands.

There isn't much japanese support for the Gen Coupe
Mostly cause it isn't a Japanese car. There are several Korean tuners as well as USDM tuners that have mods for the car. How much do you need?

I also remember HKS doing a GenCoupe when it launched.

I find it kind of strange how uncommon they are in Vancouver.

It's not about what I need. It's about variety and quality.

Not everyone has the same taste, people will want to do different things with their cars.

Why are people getting butt hurt that there will be better aftermarket support?

I think part of the issue is that Hyundai has had this bad reputation in the past. Now that they are eating Honda's and Toyota's lunch and dinner, I expect to see more tuners get involved with the GC and Veloster. Hyundai is here to stay and will keep eating more of the market share.

Maybe cause you own a Veyron and we don't?

So can the FRS/BRZ take regular gas like the GC can?

Aren't Vancouver kids too image conscious to roll in a Hyundai? :P

And yes, it can take regular but I'd tune it first.

Obviously power will suffer if you do. You'll also probably knock until the ECU can compensate, which is dumb. It'll be tuned to run an CA crap 91 anyway...

Maybe using Plus Gas (89 Octane) would be smarter?

Errr I said, tune for 87 and you'll be fine. It's pretty easy, just retard the cam, don't rev it, or pull timing at higher revs. Cam retarded to open at TDC should do the trick, Prius runs fine on 87 with PFI and 13:1 CR with a similar valve setting.
If it's tuned for 91, it will start knocking on 89.

Mustang V6: $22,999 MSRP
Mustang Premium V6: $26,999 MSRP
Mustang GT V8: $38,699 MSRP

Genesis Coupe 3.8: $32,999 MSRP
Genesis Coupe 3.8 GT: $36,499 MSRP

*All 6-speed manual

The 3.8 got absolutely annihilated by the Camaro and Mustang. The 2.0T didn't attract to many people from the tried and tested hot fwd: (K20) Civic Si (Screamer), Mazdaspeed 3 (Brute Force), or VW GTI (Europhile).

I know this will get your heart rate up, I hope Scion/Toyota Canada don't do something stupid like this with the pricing. I mean we are a comedic bunch, but Hyundai can't have expected Canadian people to be complete clowns and go for a Genesis Coupe 2.0T GT ($31,149) when there's a nice Mazdaspeed 3 ($29,795)... or a Mustang Premium V6 with the $2000 Performance Pack for less money. And the base 2.0T ($24,899) most likely lost to the K20 Civic Si cult following (I think they [Si] were $23,9XX something? I can't remember).

I think you really need to see the complains about the long term reliability of Korean cars. I have seen numbers of Sonatas disappeared around my area. They look ok, drive good, has great interior, but reliability is still not on par with Honda or even Toyota. Honda and Toyota sell because of this.

Starting with the last generation sonatas, the quality and reliability of the cars have improved tremendously. The new sonatas havn't been around that long at all, so I'm not sure where you're finding these complaints about "long term reliability".

I believe the FR-S will have better aftermarket than the GC in HANDLING modifications but that's about it.

It's funny I still see some 90s + Hyundai's on the road and the new ones haven't been out long enough to stand the test of time.
