@Allch Chcar I added 2.2 gallons of E85 to my tank which had about 8 gallons in it today, bringing the ethanol fraction up to ~27%. Noticable decrease in knock from normal 87! On 87 octane E10 it knocks (I hear an unhealthy hammering sound anyway) if I give it heavy throttle at 1400rpm, on E20 it doesn't do that until about 1100, and on E27 I can step on it at 800rpm and the engine doesn't groan at all. Fueling requirement goes up 5%? I should measure the AFRs sometime to see if boosting the ethanol concentration throws off the ECU so it boosts the AFR a little in open loop. I think stock it runs 12.5 at the top end, 13:1 would make more power.
I paid 3.15 a gallon or something vs. 3.75 for normal gas, so I lost like 50 cents total from the higher cost but that's cheaper than paying an extra 2.5 dollars for filling the whole tank with 91. |

If anyone wants tires on the cheap I can get them out to anyone from my Point of Contact at Discount Tire I have been dealing with for years (I also have a Tire rack whole sale account and for tires DTD is usually cheaper).
