I still wish they had integrated gameplay for all the overweight children in the us. it would be nice if they had to actually move more than their fingers in order to play video games.

Or, you know, their parents could control their portions and make them get the fuck up and go outside. Or set limits. Why make the gaming industry parent the children? This is why Australia gets this:


Motion games are a gimmick. I own a Kinect, I have a Wii U now, and the technology for the accuracy needed in some games just isn't available yet. Getting there though. This is Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra on PC:

Sony is rumored to be working on their own VR headset, and you can bet MS is in on that game as well.

Yea I agree the technology isn't there, but lets be honest, just because the parents aren't doing the parenting doesn't mean that the gaming industry cannot reach out to help witht he problem.

I think there's a certain market that will not allow their children to experience video games because of this and the lack of social ability, yet I think if these experiences were more integrated into the gaming world, that it would be more widely accepted.

No thanks, I can parent my own kid. I don't want my gaming experience to be hampered because other people don't want to parent theirs. They can keep the gimmicky games to themselves, and they'll sell great for "casual gamers" and old people.. But even those markets are kinda sick of it now, and Wii U sales show for it. Maybe it's selfish, but I'm the demographic for gaming right now, so in all fairness my wallet votes sound the loudest. And after being up and working, or chasing the munchkin or something for 14 hours, the last thing I feel like doing is having to jump all over the room like a monkey on crack to play Battlefield.

Gaming being accepted? Well, that already happened. Gaming is cool now. That happened like, eight or so years ago, when being a geek/nerd/dork became fine and everyone and their mom was playing CoD or WoW. So if parents have a problem with their kids playing something, it's just because they have a problem with just that - they don't want them playing video games. I'm old enough that a lot of my friends now also have young children, and I don't know a single one of them that says "Oh, well I'll let my kid play Wii Sports because it promotes movement, but hell no he can't play Mario." I've been playing games for a long, long time. And while I'll admit there were days I played Metroid, or Mario 3, or Dragon Warrior, or anything else that came out for hours on end with friends, we spent just as much or more time playing outside. And really I can't think of my parents ever telling me "no more video games" unless there was something I had to do..

Ok, so I'm rambling now.. Just let parents parent their own kids. I'm so tired of people wanting everyone or anything else to parent everyone else's kids. And please don't take any offense at this because I'm just an internet stranger that knows nothing about you, but people that don't have kids seem to think they know everything about parenting, but as soon they do it's like jumping into a cold pool and not knowing how to swim.. And they're the ones that ruin it for the parents who just want to relax for ten minutes. :P

Having played Driveclub, I wasn't very impressed with it. Just another open-world NFS clone. The delay I was sad about was Watch Dogs. :/

Still got Dead Rising, Forza and CoD lined up for the 22nd though.

Yeah, I wasn't really sure what to think of Driveclub, but figured I'd give it a shot since it'd be free on PS+. Honestly I'm looking forward to The Crew more than any other driving game at the moment... and that got delayed as well.

I will get NFS Rivals though. I was sufficiently happy with Criterion's take on the series, so we'll see how Ghost does with Criterion's guidance.

PS4. If the "community" on XboxOne is anything like how it is on 360 I will never buy that console.

Plus, I'm still really pissed off that the COD franchise was ruined. Don't think I'll ever get over that one.

I really hope GT6 for PS3 doesn't suck as bad as GT5 did. You'd think that with all the development time and cost they put in, they could make the cars sound real.

That's why Forza is better at the moment. It's too bad Forza is only available for the 360.

And if the "community" on Xbox stays the same, the level and caliber of player for those FPSs will be significantly higher as well.

BTW, COD games are just fine as long as you stick to the Infinity Ward games, plus you have the amazing looking Titanfall coming up, from the team of IW originals that made CoD4:MW.

Don't expect it to fetch the premium that the PS3 and Xbox were getting. Yield on the chipsets has been great, and Sony has stated several times that they are committed to keeping units in stock throughout the holiday, so a customer doesn't walk in and buy the Xbox One when the PS4 isn't available. In fact, the biggest reason that preorders stopped is so they would have stock for the normal openings after midnight launches.

Even if there are toxic players in the Xbox Live community, Microsoft is apparently getting aggressive with their "no more cheaters or jerks" message. It'll be interesting to see if that filter works.

I actually thought about getting the new COD.. and then the Black Friday ad for Gamestop leaked. Battlefield 4 PS3/360/PC for 30 bucks. Guess I'm doing BF PC again this time. I'll have plenty of shooters to hold me over, that's for sure.

Also for anyone getting a PS4, another leak from the GAmestop Black Friday ad says a PS+ 1-year subscription will be 30 bucks. Just in time for your trial to end after PS4 launch. Can't beat that with a stick!
