the problem is i went through so much to ditch all things shiny and chrome. so i have the "dark" theme going.

i REALLY love the black, i may just redo them in a black with some subtle flake or something you can only notice in person.

i dont have a lip, so i wouldn't do a two tone thing. maybe a SBC or a black chrome type look would look good...but idk.

on a light blue car, gunmetal or a highlighter yellow always look great. on a vette though just classic stuff works best, what you did is ideal IMO.

Black with a subtle flake can look really nice. I have Ultraleggera's that I had painted black with a gold pearl. It sometimes looks like normal black, other times it's sparkle-city.

No drop on yours?
I'm having issues with my insurance company giving me the okay to add suspensions... not sure if I'm feeling gramlights without a drop. What do you guys think?

My car is dropped on BC coilovers and Jive is dropped on the KW V3s. Why would you be asking your insurance company for approval on what you can or can't do to your car? I still think aftermarket wheels look fine at stock ride height especially if you keep the same OEM overall diameter.

In Canada, if you do any modifications without disclosure, your insurance company can and will use that against you to deny any of your claims. If it changes "performance" at all, it's usually not allowed. With a lot of our insurance companies, even changing rims without disclosure can void your coverage.

Sucks being a car enthusiast in Canada.

I've seen maybe 1 picture of a brz at stock height on new wheels, not 100% sure how I feel about it. >_<

looking back, i'd do it all over again...minus the getting rear ended by a drunk driver part.

Amazing progress thus far. Keep it up, this car is inspiring.

Wow...these statements are incorrect and misleading.

Please note my residence, then check out my build thread, notice the "performance" mods, notice my legally licensed and insured vehicle...

Feel free to check out the other 9 provinces and 3 territories and understand that there is a difference between ALL of them regarding their auto-insurance and car-modification policies. Also, you may find it interesting to know that municipalities can have their own by-laws that limit a residence's ability to modify their own vehicle and drive it legally in that city/town.

He is speaking ONLY about his insurance company, their policies, and the highway safety regulations in the Province of Ontario. Furthermore, if someone modifies their car incorrectly and that modification is found to be the cause of an accident, anyone/anywhere could find you (the owner) or the shop who installed the part (if installed incorrectly) liable and not offer you insurance. Disclosure or not.

1. Which province?
2. How long are you "staying"
3. What are the geographical boundaries of your insurance policy?
4. Is your primary residence changing?

Anyway, no, I doubt your car will be looked at in any way other than lustfully.

i did it! i bought the 3" resonated. i heard it's slightly louder than the 2.5" but still has the bass-y rumble.

Not sure why you're always so angry when posting, sir. I meant Ontario, so I apologize that I didn't localize my location better. Next time I'll be sure to state my GPS coordinates to prevent any further confusion.
