Wrote this in my blog, but hile watching /DRIVE, Matt made an interesting comment.

"Cayman has worse hp to dollar ratio..."

Just for shits & giggle, I've googled to see their price. Base Cayman is $52.6k w 275hp/213tq... so that's $191 to 1hp and $246 to 1tq. & yes, I'm well aware that number isn't everything when you have fun car drive... but how much is too much?

What do you think?

My seat is shipping tomorrooooooow!!! So excite! Hopefully the guy will send me a picture of it before it ships. More importantly, I hope customs doesn't hold it hostage for over a month.

By comparison, the MR2 Spyder actually had a worse dollar to hp ratio if you consider its MSRP back then was like 23? k, for 138 horses.

But that aside I think the thing about the Porsche Cayman is sure, the dollar to horsepower ratio sucks, but it's really a car that has it all. Everything is solid, the interior is fantastic, there's plenty of space to put cargo, and the drivetrain is very nice. The gas mileage is even pretty good. Your dollars don't buy horsepower here (horsepower is cheap, you just get the S model and bam 25% more power), they buy refinement.

Random: Just counted up the mods/maintenance items for my car (springs/struts, cam regrind, chassis bracing, muffler, custom aero bits, clutch + lightened flywheel), 2000 dollars allotted to my car for now...might go over a little to pay someone working on it. I have 15k more worth of stuff in mind but I'll save that for when I actually have income lol.

Call me crazy, but I actually like Mondays. I always have a fatty stack of emails waiting to be answered and the day goes really quick lol.
