You are using way more of the track in your BRZ in the first picture comparison!

Haha yep, apparently my line through turn 5 has improved over the years, but grip levels have decreased a bit without those sticky Hoosiers!

That is nice that it came with hardware. I bought the JDL overpipe and midpipe together and neither came with hardware.

Installed my @JDLAutoDesign UEL header today!

Comparison with the stock header.

Overpipe comparison.

Was able to remove the heat shield from the stock OP and snake it out without jacking up the engine. Thanks to PB blaster everything broke loose pretty easy and no broken studs!

Overpipe clearance with RCE front sway bar. This is after installing 5mm thick washers on the sway bar mounts to lower it a tad.

Already golding nicely after a test run around the block

All tidied up

Flashed my revised E85 tune from @moto-mike and went out to do some data logging with some fresh corn juice. First impressions: It sounds AMAZING! The torque dip is completely gone; there's big gob of midrange torque where there was once a valley. It pulls MUCH harder to redline than with the stock header and over pipe. The stock front pipe and mid pipe do an excellent job at keeping the exhaust note from my WORKS axleback free of any rasp, drone, or obnoxious volumes. It sounds perfect to me and it makes awesome power with my Moto-East E85 tune.

Videos coming soon!

Cold starts with E85 aren't always graceful.

So next weekend the diffuser gets its first test? Any chance you can position a GoPro to see how much it flexes during a lap?

This weekend, yes. I actually lowered the leading edge via the slotted tabs to nearly maximum rake when up on the lift for the header install since I noticed it was too high and kinking the whole thing a bit sitting against the stock midpipe. It all clears fine now and the leading edge is still pointing up a little bit so I don't think it will be "digging in" to the air based on what I could see with my perspective directly underneath the car.

I do have a GoPro but I have no idea how I'd mount it under there safely. I only have a windshield mount and side mount for my helmet.

Did you get your diffuser installed and fitted okay this past weekend?

I was going to suggest the strong suction cup mount which I think is the windshield mount on the bumper. I know I have seen cars run similar camera setups on body panels. I did get it installed this weekend. The fitting went well, but I did have to space up the outsides with 1.5" spacers to clear the cans on the Evo3 exhaust. I will hopefully get pics up soon.

Glad you got it fitted okay. Looking forward to seeing how it looks against WRB.

I'm not sure the perspective from the bumper cover would be the best place to see diffuser movement. I was thinking under the car somewhere, somehow, facing rearward at the leading edge. Do you suspect it will move around a lot? @FT-86 SpeedFactory have been over 130mph with theirs at the track and haven't reported any instability or flapping around back there; just the opposite, actually. It's a solid piece mounted to the frame, as you know.

It sounds like it shouldn't fly off the car at 130 MPH, but I was just interested in how much it flexes at those speeds.

Gotcha.

Well maybe @Wonderbar can chime in here in regards to the flex at speed but I'm unsure how to mount a GoPro under there safely to capture that.
