Call your insurance company and tell them what happened and see what they tell you to do and be done with it.

Don't report something small like that to you insurance... I can't imagine that be more than 1000$. So live with it or pay

What you seem to have a hard time understanding is that there is no simple fix. There's only one way to fix it. Get it to a good body shop and you'll never know it happened. Anything less and you will have messed up a nice car.

And unless you have a bad insurance history, your rates shouldn't go up for that, unless you have a crappy ins. co....................

This is why you have insurance. So many people come in my shop and are scared to use its crazy. If its not fixed right, it will always look like crap. The quarter will be blended for color match as well so its not just the door involved.

Being red most shops could eaisly get away with panel painting and not blending the paint in the qtr panel. Red is very good IMO at hiding. Is the paint damaged on the iside of the door as well?

Maybe if it were down low near the rocker or something. But directly at the center of the door I'd blend for sure. Its true it could probably be tinted to where most wouldn't be able to tell, but I'm sure I could and it would bother the hell out of me haha.

You should be able to find it cheaper with the red though.
How much? and where did you go?
