They would be lighter than they were stock so they must be racing lug nuts there by substantiating your wildly inflated price. Kind of like Porsche removing parts to save weight and then charging thousands more for it.

Toyota said my 5th gear issues are a "known" issue but they dont have a fix. Said I should call back once in a while to see if there are any updates

Sounds like they are blowing me off. They could not tell me if I can put my short shifter on yet even though they have already diagnosed the issue with video for toyota.

Time to call SOA. Here we go again...

I have yet to have a fix for my 4th gear grind and they took video weeks before 86fest. Havent even heard the slightest peep for an update. Also got rejected for a crickets fix. They said its an issue they know about too and told me to wait for the new fix. Still nothing...that was 3 months ago

Import Face Off is in Tucson on Sunday, so you could make a weekend of it with a day of autocross and a day at IFO.

I wish I could make it for this but I have other weekend plans. I am registered for the saturday autocross at Tempe Diablo Stadium though. They are advertising multiple course layouts throughout the day, which is a format I have never done before.

Absolutely not once. My girl laughs at me when I down shift and I row through gears.

Need to open a case with soa and possibly go to another dealer. Just to make sure you have everything documented. Made my lemon law case much easier to just hand them a huge paper trail and they agreed to it very quickly.

Have you done a fluid swap? I know it probably wouldn't be wise to do one now since the dealer has acknowledged the issue, but I haven't heard of anyone who did an early manual transmission fluid swap having this issue. In particular, the CSG shop car has been through two engines but no sign of transmission trouble. Of course, this problem could be rare enough that it just hasn't happened to a car with a fluid swap by chance.

Have not done a fluid swap. On my first car when they were looking at it they had me sign paperwork saying I would have to pay for the repairs if the clutch was burnt or if the fluid was not stock. I made sure to keep the stock fluid in just in case something like this came up again.

I had slight grinding issues before I did my transmission fluid swap. After that never had that problem again. I used to grind 2nd gear 5th and 3rd back then.
