ST vs KW var3 coilovers
for those who have some sort of experience/knowledge of both...
would you say these are night and day for spirited daily driving? I had the ST coilovers on my wrx and really quite liked them, but noticed my friend's KW ride MUCH MUCH better...(maybe external reservior or just better dampening?) anyways, looks like the spring rates are the same on these so maybe it`s just a matter of quality? the only complaint I had on the wrx ST was that it was progressive springs so it felt a bit soft on the initial bounce and kind of gave me a bobblehead effect.. I was thinking of upgrading to swift springs to get rid of that issue, but i traded in the car for the BRZ before I went ahead onto that route... I`ve been in friends cars with the V3s and they are definitely what i would call smooth... even better than stock IMO. but is it worth all that more compared to the STs? I also have a friend that works for Bilstein so I could probably get a good discount as well but I have zero experience with Bilstein...

goal of the car is a decently comfortable daily driver that will see 2-3 auto-x a year and maybe 1-2 track days a year.

The ST's are essentially the KW V1's with a Galvanized steel out body instead of the SS KW body.
The valving, springs, and internals are the same. The ST's and the V1's have preset damping. The V3's have adjustable damping for both rebound and compression, so you can "fine tune" the V3's for your needs. So if you want a nice upgrade and don't care about adjusting the damping yourself go ST. If you want to set the damping then you'll want the V3's. Either kit would be a good buy

ST if you want a coilover to go lower than springs. Honestly if you use your car for the street you'll probably never touch any of the adjustments. So it would save yourself a lot of money for options you don't need.
