rear camber adjuster bolts or lower control arms needed?
I'm planning on going staggered setup 18x8.5/9.5 setup with either eibach pro or sportline spring kit. I've read a lot of people buying rear LCA along with their drop set up.
My question is this necessary when lowering your car a 1" or 1.5"? Basically I want to know what else will I need for a smooth ride when I drop my car besides buying lowering springs. I will not be tracking at all, just my casual DD, going for looks / stance. Thanks! |

Depends on what you want -as Matt mentioned, if you want to be factory spec, you'll need some sort of rear camber adjustability with 1.5". FYI threads on this forum have shown the Proline springs drop around 1", or just shy of that, and the Sportline springs drop around 1.2" (they advertise 1.4"). Sportline springs will probably put you around -2 degrees of camber. If you want to be 'stanced', you may want at least that if not more, depending on the look you're going for. If you want performance, you'll probably want to be a little under -2 for the rears. Also you want camber adjustment in the front, so think about oem or aftermarket front camber bolts.

if you have an extra 400$ get the arms, if not you wont die but you will have extra camber for street use. im at 2 deg in the rear but i track it

I'm dropped 1" and have the camber bolts maxed out front and rear. I might need to dial the rear back a little actually. They are a pain in the ass to install compared to LCAs, but a lot cheaper, and get you a good usable camber.

I would get the spc arms. Easy adjustment, and pretty cheap. Great bang for buck item. I'm lowered by over 2" and with SPC arms, I was able to get my camber down to -1.3 and only reason I couldn't go lower is cause the stock toe link is maxed on adjustment.
With new toe links, I could easily get to under -1 for camber

Shouldn't be a big deal, maybe slightly more wear on the inside vs outside, but probably not a huge deal, just make sure to get it aligned, your toe will change and that *will* affect your tire wear.

You will want the SPC LCA's for a daily driver if you want your toe to be back at 0. Otherwise, it will eat your tires. The camber is not so big of a deal. It's the toe that is the the problem. The SPC LCA's allow both to be adjusted. I'm at -0.9 and -1.3 in the back, 0 toe with these LCA's.
