it also looks like the door jamb is bent outward, (I havn't opened the door to find out as I'm worried about getting it shut again). If that's the case, are they not going to have to replace that as well? I'm worried if they do replace it and the quarter panel, it's just not going to be as strong, not to mention I'm a little worried about the door sealing up properly.

Ferrari OWNERS accept poor quality repair work, uncomplainingly?

That would surprise me.

I'd think Ferrari OWNERS are more likely to sue your a$$ from here to kingdom come should they find the slightest blemish on their repaired car.

I know dealers that will sell cars with a Certified title still attached to it that have been in that sort of impact. As long as it drives straight and there was no frame damage (which there may be but I doubt it) you should be fine. If it is deemed as a frame damaged vehicle then tell your insurance i want to get the hell out because not only is it not nearly as safe, but its worth about half as much.

Good driving assists can't come soon enough for me. Ford has that LED in the ORVM? They should take the next step and emit a loud chime in the car if the ECU senses the car switching lanes when someone is in the blind spot.

I have seen pets that are smarter than some of the people I see driving out on the road.

When it first happened, as my car came to a stop, I just started cussing at the top of my lungs for about 15 seconds, looked out my now busted passenger window and there was a guy walking down the side walk just staring at me, lol.

Anyway, I got it out of my system in those 15 seconds, then got out to make sure everyone was ok, because in the end, the car can be repaired/replaced. I'm just glad no one was hurt.

Glad you're ok, I hope the other party has self-respect and owns up to their mistake. Don't think I could consider than an accident more than being careless.

Driving assistance tech is my worst nightmare. You have (imo) majority of drivers who can't operate/control their car properly in the first place and now we want to coddle that inability? That's a terrible idea.

That lady, with all her years of experience, was unable to perform a basic action that you do EVERY time you drive, EVERY time you lane change. Forgetting "once in a while" is a BS excuse. That's like saying you simply "forgot to put underwear on today, it only happens once in a while"
There should never be a nanny for being "unaware" because at that point you shouldn't even be behind the wheel

I forgive you. Anyone who does their makeup on the road is asking for disaster. I can't believe the things people will do while driving.

It looks like the door jamb is even banged up a bit, but I haven't tried to open the door yet, I've just got it tarped in my driveway until I can get someone to look at it tomorrow.
Go to the dealer. Her insurance company will try to convince you to bring it to one of their in network shops with a lot of BS. Don't listen to a word they say. And you have the right to insist on new, not aftermarket, parts.
At the dealer tell them you want the car repaired with completely new factory parts, as is your right, and that you want it returned like new.

Let her company pay for that.

Also, your damage isn't bad at all. Simple job. Not cheap, but simple.
