Loud thud from inside car when driving over things?

Hey guys,

Due to the wind there were large branches on the ground and I thought I would be fine just driving over it but it made a very noticeable noise in the cabin.

Not only this I ran over a plastic water bottle and it still made quite a loud exaggerated noise from inside the car, could this be due to the sound tubes? Is it normal?

Thanks

Could it have possibly damaged anything ?

Though even small things that I drove over like leaves, bark, etc seemed to make some noise.

The bottom of the car is well covered up.

If you have any doubts, I would take it to a shop and have it lifted to check for damages underneath.

And yeah, this car is pretty damn low. I think we've all learned that the hard way at one point in time or another.

Hi Weeber .......

I don't think the sound generator (sound tubes ??) is picking sounds of you running over stuff.

Yes, the sounds of crushed stuff you run over them do seem quite loud in my FR-S .... I think its normal.

As mentioned, after you run over something, you may wish to take a look see to make sure it didn't "stick".

LOL!

Ain't it the truth?!

This is the noisiest car you may ever own. Sometimes I'll run over a large pebble, and the CLANG! it makes bouncing around my wheel well is downright alarming. I'm frantically looking in my mirror wondering what fell off my car!

They "added lightness" by removing a good deal of heavy soundproofing material.

Learn to love it...

Fear not.

Thanks guys, I was actually really worried here.

On a die note, I quickly stooped to check the under-body and the little cylindrical container shown here in the middle looks quite rusty and my car is only a week old!

I understand. I'm just being silly and playing around. I'm weak and couldn't resist.

Weeber - your new car does not have any clearance. Do not run over anything. Whenever possible, stop and remove debris that covers your intended path. When you are naked you don't go walking through thorny plants, right?
