This car is really going to force the aftermarket to thoroughly investigate GDI fuel injection systems and how to tune them. It is already easily done in Korea with the 2.4GDI that we find in the Kia and Hyundai cars, 8psi seems to work perfectly with stock fuel systems and exhausts and power gains are high |

I hear the biggest potential for performance is direct injection with alcohol fuels
12.5 CR would be good for a ton of boost in that case.

I think it works best when you use the port injection for the gasoline and the direct injection for as high of an ethanol/methanol concentration as you can get. The gasoline isn't going to provide much evaporative cooling, it's mainly there for the heat of combustion, while the alcohol is for cooling the charge down. That combination gets the best antiknock characteristic for a given "blend" of fuel. When you spray too much alcohol in via the port injectors I think a problem is that some of it might not evaporate and that's extra bad for combustion efficiency. Allch Chcar is doing E85 conversion I think

While 200 is a good starting point, I would definitely love to go this route at some point. I don't really want to do anything crazy. Having that little bit extra is always nice though and maintaining everyday drivability and practicality is a plus. That being said, I'd like to see around 250whp in the end. I've made do with much less and this will be enough for what I have intended for it.

I'd planned to wait on a FI setup after seeing the product from the factory. Quote:

Everday car and fun weekend car. Go back to the shop in Vegas for moar of this! [u2b]Uj_EoX0Ruus[/u2b] Yes the ground is wet in some of the footage. Notic the black S14.5 rockin 18x11 VSKFs....Bone stock KA24DE. Even stock exhaust=less than 150hp. Don't need much to go out and play.
[u2b]hIwM7_koPTY[/u2b] ^^From the event back in December. Every year. I feel like just having a fun car with a bit extra OOMMFFFFFPPHH!!! would be perfect in a car this size and weight. Suspension work, knuckles, diff, wheels, seats, a bit more power would be perfect. I saw the car made like 170whp on a dyno. If I can get to 200whp N/A with mild work then I might not care to boost. I don't know how realistic that number is though since I've never tuned N/A motors before.

generally i'm rather conservative and won't go beyond a remap.
however, i'm curious on how much forced induction would cost for this car. let's say minimum 60-75 additional hp what do you think would be the average price to fit such a supercharger? a turbocharger? |
