Part number on the new pump is 16625JB010. What's the old part number?

This does appear to be a new part number for the Subaru pump. Now if I could just get the corresponding number for Toyota I would be set.

I wouldn't rush to your dealership just yet. I still have about a week and a half to hit 1000 miles on the new pump.

The way I see it is I will replace my pump with every new one that comes down the line. The more money I spend of Toyota's proving this is an issue the more likely we are to get a permanent fix.

Just to confirm I was wrong, I don't have crickets or chirping . . . yet. It makes a hell of a lot of clatter when engine warms up but that's pretty much it so far. Will be very interesting to see if this changes with the Australian heat wave about to ramp up for summer !

And just to reiterate, the fuel that I always use, Shell VPower, does not contain Ethanol.

Really, if everyone's sound like mine, I don't get why everyone is so bent out of shape.
When I had the crickets, they were loud. Now that I am using different fuel and the crickets have gone, there is still a very quiet residual squeak that just sounds normal, same as yours I bet.

Looks like this (16625JB010) is a new HPFP part number, as others have referenced 16625JB000.

Just tried the 2 stroke oil today and crickets have disappeared for now

Anyone aware of any adverse effects to this method in the long run?

If you are using it at 1:1000 and it's quality zero ash or even low ash I would imagine only positive effects? It lubricates, cleans and burns virtually without trace. That's what it's designed to do at 20 and even 50 times this amount in fuel.

Without the chirping it sounds like a diesel engine... tick tick tick tick tick tick... much like how the mini cooper s sound like.

I would say clatter rather than ticking, yep that's pretty much how it sounds which is ordinary for a hi-tech injection system & a much talked/hyped about fancy new sportscar imo, unlike Toyota I might add. It sends across a false image of the car to those who have no idea about it. It's not a major issue for me because the rest of the car is so damn fine & cos of that awesome Perrin exhaust system

Are the parts really badly back-ordered? I believe the dealer ordered my parts after my first service, but I haven't got any calls or got any answer even when I called them. It's been about 3 months already haha

Exclamation Called subaru pacific in So Cal for information regarding the new partnumber posted

so.. I called Subaru Pacific in Socal and Subaru sherman oaks. They Looked up the part number 11625JB000 and the new part number posted on this forum 11625JB010 and told the the one i gave them does not exist. As far as they know the last revision was done around May of 2013 and it shares the same part number and you can only tell its the revised part by checking the green dot.

I was also refused to get pumps replaced any further as SOA states that the CHIRPING is a normal characteristic of the car and they are not planning to fix it. But because i was not satisfied with the noise the new car was making. The representative i was speaking to at SOA offered me an extended warranty that will last 7 years and 100000 miles whichever comes first as a complimentary update to my existing 3 year warranty. Took the deal. What do you guys think?

Anyone else try to figure out whats the deal with the new part number? 11625JB010 Seems to not exist in dealers i called.
