Not sure if the seller is entirely accurate on the type of steel used in construction of this header, or if things may have changed in the last 10 years or so, but I stumbled across this informative post on the differences in steel types: http://www.viperalley.com/forum/vipe...stainless.html

In summary, the seller claims the header is made of the best (read: for car applications) stuff for headers: 321 stainless. This is looking even more attractive. Also, that post does actually explain the "titanium inclusion" bit; 321 indicates the steel is in fact alloyed with titanium.

When you copy someone elses design, its not hard.....

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...r-headers.html

Further down the thread is a comparison photo with header flanges comparing quality

Again, when you copy someone elses design there is no excuse for not getting it correct.

I've personally dealt with enough knockoff parts to know they work fine for the majority of people because they are CHEAP and if it fits/doesn't break then its a "good deal"

That doesn't mean its a good product or is designed correctly.

I ran an OBX raceheader in an RSX and it was fantastic (and 1/2 the price of the competition) up until the point the hanger weld failed.

I also deal with quality control issues with Chinese goods on a daily basis for my job, so I might be slightly biased

actually, in regards to exhaust, the cheapest one would be Invidia N1 look-exactly-alike that are sold on ebay starting from $330 shipped

Tsudo is cheapest single OEM like muffler design exhaust out there.
you get catted front pipe ($200) with catback for 565 shipped (also sold on ebay) which would be $365 for exhaust only, and that is shipped.

so that Invidia Q300 copy-cat thingy for $380 (for polished tips) is not as cheap.

Btw, in best Chinese traditions they brand it as Manzo (opposed to Monza). Looks like the new American brand was just born in April:

I was referencing one thing and one thing only.

Your comment regarding the pics of the flanges of one example on page 1 of the link.

Its a 6 page thread (mostly filled with bickering).

I was not debating morals or business practices.

Obviously the people who make, market, sell and buy this sort of item have a spot in hell reserved for them.

The question is wether that person was already headed there to begin with, making being a shitty person in this situation a moot point.

If the geometry of the headers are good, assuming they did increase the diameters of the tubes, why not? Welds can always be fixed fairly cheaply. Although the cat is questionable at best. It would have been better off if they designed it without a cat. You get what you pay for.

Not sure I would go as far as saying everyone is going to hell
