there are several idle target maps in the 'idle' folder of tunerpro.. 2d tables of coolant temperature and rpm.

Got my tablet in today, flashed the car using the stage 1 stock map, and loving it. No dyno available where I live yet but I like the way it drives after the flash. This is how the car should be from the factory! Great work!

IS there any reason why all windows 7 users shouldn't install the windows 8 patch?

I just tried to load the modified rom into the OFT. After selecting the correct file I did not get a checksum corrected message. Instead, I get window Cktrl with "C:\openflash\DLL\DEV121.DLL." After clicking OK, I'd get another a cktrl with "1". I'm using a laptop with windows 7.

I had the same issue. Apply the windows 8 patch.

Did you already reflash your rom? Any problems? I'd like to hear what @shiv@vishnu has to say about this before I do anything else.

Also, I had the little plastic tab that holds the OBD2 cable to the OFT break off already. Small problem, but I've only used it one time to read the ECU on my car. Literally just pick up my OFT from the post office an hour ago...

Yes please go ahead and apply the windows 8 patch if you find yourself having this problem. Even if you aren't necessarily running windows 8.

Yeah I reflashed already. It's working great. Love the feel.

Can someone with absolutely no knowledge of tuning use this and learn from it? Or is this for advanced tuners? Just curious. I'd like to learn but I have no idea where to start.

The nature if the OFT is that it can be used by someone with absolutely no tuning laptop. The knowledge requires to load on of our OTS maps is nill. But for those with tuning knowledge, they can certainly take more advantage by custom tuning their ecu for their unique needs. But I think the latter applies to less than 5% of our customers. Most just take advantage of the plug and play nature of the plug-and-play nature of the OFT.
