Maybe there could be no tax? That would be the day when there is a Scion vendor on amazon.

Considering there is no negotiating the only thing you need the dealer for is to look at a car/test drive and see if you want to buy it. From there you just pick the closest dealer with the color you want and buy it.

Would be sick to have the destination charge actually get the car dropped off at your house.

You would be surprised, I know more than 1 person who has bought a car without test driving. Guess their gender, lol

I've had a dealer an hour away drive a car I bought from them drop it off at my apartment. It can happen, just not very often.

I test drove an 06 Accord V6 (new) at the local dealership, but purchased it from a dealership in New Jersey. Did all the paperwork over the phone/internet/fax. They shipped it to my door on a flatbed 1200 miles away.

I would like to be able to build the car online and know which dealer has it, or custom order it that way. The way RRnold describes it, the Costco program sounds nice too.

How much did that delivery set you back? I bought a Jeep in FL and had it shipped to Denver... it was around $1200 for me.

I've always wanted car dealers to do this. Assuming you have already done the test drive. I have never found a car at the dealer that matched everyone of the detailing that I wanted

I think this is great. The last 3 cars I've purchased, I went to the dealer to do a test drive knowing I wasn't going to buy. Once I decided on the car I wanted I just emailed all the local dealers, told them what I wanted, and asked for their best price. Then just played them off each other until one by one they dropped out. I like the idea of fixed pricing, and I dislike the laws that prevent us from just simply ordering directly from the manufacture online and having it delivered.

I hope the unfortunate me and a lot of others here with the "First 86" program gets to the waiting list straight away in that case. Also, I went to my dealer and they told Scion will start getting FR-S only from late summer! Toyota website says Japanese are getting from April 6th though!
