IMHO maf scaling is one of those things you want to understand and know how to do yourself, as it is very vehicle-specific. it'll cost you a bit of time and frustration learning and getting it perfect, but understanding it will make life easier when you go to install an intake that isn't officially tuned for or do any other major upgrades.

with openflash you can do things like this. just keep a copy of the map, read up, log, use the available tools and tweak the copied map. if you end up screwing the pooch, all you have to do is flash back the original map.

Yes, we can and will support limited remote tuning for those with untested intakes. But as jamesm said, it would be possible for users to remap their MAF table to account for different intakes. It would be great if we could create a database for MAF tables suitable for different intakes. So that anyone can simply cut and paste the data in their own tuned map file.

I hope to test the electric SC soon. But it looks like there is a bit of a waiting list for kits its right now. I'm also talking with another SC manufacturer as well but I can't say much more at this time. For logging, I'm currently using a beta version of the OFT logging. Works well. Just need to add some more channels and displays options to make it more useful.

Datalogging/graphing is coming along well. Currently we are waiting for a diagnostic tool that is stuck is customs. We just need to emulate it to get some of the non-generic channel IDs we need. Should clear this week. In the meantime, we are developing the BMW OFT logging/graphing function which we will port over to the FA20 OFT so time is not being wasted fortunately.

Just curious, how are you logging on the dyno?

I have access to all of the current datalogging software suites. Picking the best bits I like from them and implementing it into the OFT logging function.

Stg2 is currently being tested a few beta testers on this forum. I'm also going back to the dyno this afternoon to recalibration with the stock airbox since all of my Stg2 testing thus far was done with an AirRaid airbox which most people don't even have. A bit of an oversight on my part.

You don't have to say what manufacturer.

Just wether centri, twin screw or rotorex.

Alright thank you to another member who directed me here.

I noticed the Stage 1.2 Maps came out today looks like a few changes were made so I will be giving those a go.

I see mention of where Datalogging currently is so that answers one of my questions as well as how the Stage 2 Maps ETA as well.

I have two other questions though.

1) Is there a mailing list we can be put on so we know when there is an update to the tunes?

2) Did the XDF File get updated or changed? Is this something we should watch for and will there be a version number on it at any point if there are changes made?

3) (I know I said two but I can't resist) E85, I know its still coming but I am really looking forward to that.

Thanks!!

Can you link a good resource for this? Any other suggestions of things we should all know? I have an interest in tuning and I know there is a lot of information available online, but it would be nice if there was a list of maps that are safe and worthwhile for a newb to tweak.

the romraider forums are a wealth of information. a good maf scaling tutorial is here. i'm learning a lot from there. it's amazing how much subaru-specific information is available on this topic, more than you'd imagine probably.
