I know of a couple customers who are currently in the process of installing turbo kits and then either tuning it themselves or taking it to a tuner. I'll be installing a supercharger in our car soon as well. So it won't be long until we have good turbo/sc base maps available for anyone to download

And thank you to everyone else for the kind words. We are thrilled that you guys are happy with the OFT!

Doesn't ring a bell. But with my terrible memory, that's not saying much

We will not officially be supporting Ecutek tunes with the OFT. It's not just a good idea based upon the security that Ecutek introduces to thwart such things. Really the best thing that you can do if you have an Ecutek tune and what an OFT to store/edit maps yourself, I recommend just flashing your tune back to stock (with the Ecutek cable) and then installing the OFT like normal.

Those tuners who are familiar with tuning with Ecutek, will find that they can do the same with the OpenFlash tuning software (Tuner Pro). The same tables are available for editing. In fact, I think they even have the same table names in many cases.

Noting really significant. We have found that the intake restriction is the snorkel ducting, not the filter/airbox. So as long as that is still in there, all the intake (stock or otherwise) are going to perform about the same. The only time the AirRaid intake picked up a few hp (over stock) was when you removed the lid. While this eliminates all intake restriction, it not longer is a "cold air" box. Probably doesn't matter when the car is in motion (since underhood temps are close to ambient) but really does heat things up in stop and go traffic.

my 2c,
shiv

So if I have drop in filter and exhaust, do I reflash with the stg.1 stock intake map on OFT?

Yes it should work fine. There is a fair bit of learning that the ECU is capable of. We only get 91oct here in CA so your fuel isn't that different. And I'm guessing your weather is cooler too (which helps).

curious about this as well. I just have a Cosworth drop in filter, Perrin inlet hose and a Perrin resonated catback 2.5". These are the only hardware performance mods i'm 95% sure i'll ever have.

If you are still using the stock airbox/maf housing, you should probably be using the stock intake tune. If you are using an intake that replaces the maf housing, you will likely want a tune customized for that intake. At this moment, only a tune for the Airaid intake is available. From what I understand, @shiv@vishnu and company will be releasing tunes for other intakes in the future as time and available testing parts allow.

Hey Shiv, I was curious if you will be creating the maps for the other intakes using remote tuning? That way you wouldn't need to install a bunch of different parts on a frs/brz in house.
