You sure it's the revving that's fixing it? Seems counterintuitive. I have a dead 1st gear synchro in my MR2 and at low speed I either rev match if I'm moving or if I'm going too slow, I pop the clutch in neutral, then push it into 1st with only light pressure until it slides in.

I recently gave it some Pennzoil Synchromesh and the shifting is much better, it doesn't really grind less but at least it goes into gear.

Lol I guess if you really wanted to. You'd need to track down a 4age to w5x bell housing. They come up for sale every other blue moon. I think they come out of old rwd 4age celicas. I don't think we ever got them in the states. Atleast, I have never seen one.

Yea, I think there was a few trans swap kits to use the altezza 6spd transmission. I don't remember exactly.
