Hey guys, i'm not sure if this is a repost because i couldn't find a thread specifically for this. Anyways, I got my bc racing extreme drop kit installed yesterday, and now i'm hearing little clunking noise whenever i drive over some bumps. The front sway bar i tilted it up a little bit because i didn't know what to do with the aftermarket endlinks. I adjusted the endlinks just a little and put my sway bar up a little bit in fear of it hitting the control arm. (or what i think is the control arm) I also tightened everything. Do you any of you guys might know what this could be?

How low do you have them set to? Have you since aligned it? is the sound coming from the rear? After i did my drop i noticed noises after going over bumps, Jacked it up and was the Rear LCA hitting the bumps.

if its coming from the front you might wanna try to adjust the front endlinks as close to stock and put them back on.

I believe @636 had the same issue and IIRC it was the sway bar hitting the control arm? When i installed my kit i adjusted the enlinks the there most closed down setting to bring the swaybar as far from the control as possible. But just to be sure its not somethin easy... check to make sure the bolts on the top of the strut(strut to strut tower) are tight.

@636 first is was that he did not install the coilover the correct way and needed to take it off and turn it around

I'm not too sure what it could be now.. the main noise is coming from the right front now. i'm assuming the top plate wasn't spun tight enough like the left one, causing it to be loose and move around more? (Top late as in, camber plate and pillow top area.)

Good news guys! Fixed the problem! It was just the pillow mount/ camber plate. I had to twist it right to tighten it! I suppose the problem was, there was space between the top plate and the spring ( ball joint, pillow joint) so everytime i would hit a bump, the ball joint would hit the top plate! Thanks for all of your input though guys! (:

this is a common problem after installing coilovers on ALL cars - consider this, at stock height the distance from your sway bar to your lower control arm is much more large than when lowered. If you can get under your car when there is pressure on the suspension (i.e. alignment lift), adjust your endlinks to absorb that distance lost from lowering it.

![]() You see, the problem is where the red arrow is pointing at. there is space in between the joint (Space between the joint and the camber plate. Blue arrow.) So to start off: remove your wheels, loosen and remove the nut from one of your endlinks (whether if it's from the sway bar or the actual strut.) Then remove the three bolts on top of the strut (shown with the green arrow.) the strut should fall with the brake caliper. Next, hold the area within the purple brackets and turn the camber plate (Blue arrow pointing at it) right. Turn it a full two revolutions then reinstall. Before you lower your car on the wheels, don't forget to tighten the camber bolts! (4 bolts on top, yellow arrow) And that's it!
