In the first, thread I have reference to, there's a youtube vid. The vid is from Toyota Metapolis and the guest is Tada Tetsuya-san. Here's the vid

In the vid, they're having Q&A and one of the question it was asked (can skip it til 2:35 into the vid).
Q. Which maker is making the transmission?
A. Aisin AI

is it good enough?

That sucks, alot of guys over at SF were wanting to drop a 2JZ in.

If there were not people in this world that ask how to swap a 2jz into a ford probe on a budget of $861.23 so they would have the ultimate auto cross car.

Maybe not a myth but a Japanese only motor like the RB so there would be less 2jz swap threads for every car ever made... notice barely anyone wants a 1jz? hell most people dont know a 1jz even exists.

god why does toyota have to make such amazing motors.

True... a lot of ppl over look at 1jz. Yeah it's limited to what it can be done, but if you just want some good kicks with lil bit light weight, 1jz is way to go. iirc even Powerhouse Amuse made 1jz kit for Supra before.
