17x9 rubbing question
So I searched and looked at others with this set up but I can't tell if this will be an issue. I have Gram Lights 57DR 17x9 + 38 with 245/40/17 tires. Car is stock height. It looks like the tire pokes out too much and I plan on putting Eibach Sportline springs on. My question is do the tires tuck in more when lowered? I see a lot of cars on here with this wheel set up and it looks like their tires are tucked in more. I don't want to lower this and then hit a bump and have it smash the fender. Any suggestions? Here is a pic.

The tires will tuck in more if you add camber bolts and add negative camber...but you'll most likely end up rubbing a little with that.

I have 17x9.5 +40 and 255 tires with no problem... Only rubbing slightly under certain hard cornering situations. Though I do have -3 degrees of camber.

How are you getting that much negative camber? Did you buy camber bolts or does lowering the car create negative camber.
Any idea how much bump travel these cars have? |

I'm using whiteline camber bolts. Lowering the car also creates neg camber. I also run my wheel a lot closer then some would I have about two creditcards worth of clearance from the wheel to the upper strut perch.

I'm curious about this too - I have 57DR 17x9 +35 and am hoping to fit Michelin A/S 3 245/40/17 on em. a bit worried about the potential to rub n what not.
I have coils so I think I can add some camber to the front... Factory spacers?? |
