It's "only" 245/40/17 Rival on 17x9 + 42 Titans with 3mm spacer...but it's still meaty to me.

I think anyone coming in and dis respecting the meaty tire gig shouldn't be commenting as the op made this specific thread to share "meaty tires". Kinda specific to it and to top it off Jive Turkey and others here have been nothing short of outstanding in helping others within the community in helping with answers and assistance. Just my two bits.

Several cars here look fantastic IMO!!!

2. 255/35/18

As far as I understand, the 255s would be more comfortable due to more sideall but on the downside you would see a little bit of a decrease in terms of acceleration and handling?

The 245s are closer to stock rolling diameter? I've checked a few calculators online and I think that's the case though the sideall for the 255s is closer to stock than the 245s...and my goal is to have a slightly meatier tyre look without going as meaty as some of you guys have but also have relative similar speed + handling to stock and comfort!

Will be running vorshlag plates and KWV3s too...

Specifically want people who have run either and compare it to stock for me if possible?
The 255 isn't going to hurt your handling, thats what improves your overall grip. The only thing is might do is give you alittle more weight in the steering and alittle bit less feedback. You wont notice the difference between a 24 and 255 here really. The biggest difference is going to be compound on grip and such

It is important to note that wider doesnt ALWAYS mean gripier., tho in this instance compared to the stockers wider is grippier.

Like said above, the wider you go the heavier your steering becomes, what this means is the physical strength it takes to turn your steering wheel. We arent talking something absurd like trying to steer with no powersteering, but it is a noticable difference in feel(i personaly like the heavier steering feel).

As far as acceleration, yes you will hinder it some due to more rolling resistance from the increased contact patch. I believe your wheel weight will affect this more. Tho what time you lose in acceloration you can make up by carying more speed into a corner, unless your drag racing then i suggest not cornering.

All that said, im running pilot super sports 255/40/18 fronts and 265/40/18 rears on 18x9.5 +38 RPF1's. My handling is outstanding! Grip for days. My steering is heavier but i like the feel better then the stock feel. As far as acceleration goes, im sure there is a loss but i really cant tell, most likely would show up if u did some data logging on the track, but honestly i think what you gain in grip is a good trade off.

Looks great! Any rubbing up front? Im switching to 275 all around on my next set of tires, just wondering what to expect fitment wise.

Thx--I made a thread w/ the specifics, but I'll copy it here:

My new competition setup--they fit... This is great, as this setup is a huge increase in size, and they only weigh ~2 lbs/corner more than stock.

Caveat--I run an MCS coilover setup w/ 2.25" springs--much smaller circumference than OEM front struts.

I took it around the block & threw it around some--barely heard any rubbing sounds.

-2.5 front camber -1.3/2.0 rear (wonky stock camber)

Car has some rake as you can see. The fitment is pretty flush.

Thx--I heard some rubbing @ full lock when turning right.

The car will be thrashed this weekend, so I'll have a better report.

Ill be waiting for your full report. Could you identify by sound/feel were it was rubbing? Firewall or frame rail?

There is a good chance he is rubbing both the firewall/fender liner and the frame rails with any kind of steering lock.
