Tuesday Night Irvine FR-S/BRZ Meet

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum. I bought a Raven FR-S on 9/13/13 after someone rear ended and totaled my Pathfinder.

Funny how I've worked at DJ for the past 4 months and I never knew about the meet. Anyways, I'll be there tomorrow night but I gotta say my FR-S is completely stock :/ Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'm not going to be able to be at the meet tonight as I'm going to a friend's memorial service. But I hope to meet your car one of these times.

Olympic powder coating and anodizing, good pricing and amazing colors they can offset color on the beveled areas of your wheels and/or parts good work. I have had plenty of rims bike frames etc done there I'd recommend them.

It seems our Tuesday meets are infamous. I've seen countless people complain about how we're d-bags. The imports@uci people hate us, and all the miata guys hate us. I've seen a lot of people say they want to take over the top floor on Tuesdays because they dislike us that much lol

I've invited people even a big photographer, he said "ive been", no one greeted him when he walked up. He attempted to introduce, he tried to talk cars and only a single person there was decent. haha and a few others were just ransoms I know with the frs oh well same story as @PradiG

All I know is, I'm shy, but my husband takes over chatting up about it so a lot of people come to think the car is his and solely his and I'm just the passenger, when in fact I'm the primary he's the secondary on the loan papers if you want to get technical. It's my 86. I drive it, I say what I want done to it, but of course get his opinion, granted we both pay for stuff, we're married that's the deal just like if I want a pair of shoes HA. But yeah I get shy, so it's hard for me to just 'talk' to anyone. I've only really come across one D-Bag at this meet tbh so I avoid him like the plague. I don't understand the hate though - we're car enthusiasts, so yeah - hell I was cruising behind a sweet modded S2000 on the 15 in San Diego Saturday for quite sometime, gave him a thumbs up as he exited the freeway, I'm sure he didn't give me two ***ts but ah well, his ride was sweet, I thought so props to him and it was fun to cruise with him, I thought, but this is just how I am. I think these meets are great so down with the hate and this taking over anything that's just childish and high school right there - this isn't West Side Story...

Wow that's weird. I've been there only like 3 times, and ever time that I've been there, people have been friendly and open to talking. Now, a lot of people aren't the initiators. So they won't go up to you to talk. But I've found most people have been open to talking when you go up to them. So this "big photographer" introduced himself to people, and I'm pretty shocked that he didn't get warm responses. I know for a fact that @DNAPoPo and @GreddyFRS are two of the nicest guys over there.

I'm not calling that photographer a liar. I just think he may have gone on an off night? I dunno. Maybe people were tired?

I never singled anyone out. I said as a majority, they think we're all d-bags, myself included. There are a ton of people who floor it down the parking structure and there's excessive revving, and I agree. I haven't gotten a chance to fully talk to everyone that dislikes us cause once I tell them I attend, they don't talk to me.

Besides a few people, no one talks to me at the irvine meet. I have to approach people. Jason and Glen do a great job greeting people, but if you don't have friends that attend, you're alone while everyone is in a group already.

I rarely attend anymore for various reasons. But Jason and Glen do a good job hosting it and I thank them for that. I come once every so often.
