Hey guys. The Names Danny and this is my first post. I'm very excited to be here and I'm loving my fr-s. I look forward to meeting everyone and I know the vast knowledge and input I will receive from the forums is something that just can't be found anywhere else. I can't wait to start modding this car with goodies.

![]() The FR-S has been an excellent car for me. Mine was built in March of this year and I purchased it in April. I have driven it for 5,700 miles, including a trip from Seattle down to southern California ..... scenic 101/route 1 going down, freeway coming back. I do not track the car. I've found it to be absolutely trouble free! Just pick a color and transmission and prepare to have a bunch of driving fun! humfrz |

Hey!
I've been all over this excellent site for around six months, and just snagged my FR-S in July. I'm 30 and this is my first new car. I wound up with an Ashault car with the six-speed automatic gearbox and rear decklid spoiler. This is the first new car that I've ever wanted. Some of my previous cars include a 1971 Celica ST Coupe, a '74 Celica GT Coupe, a '77 Celica ST Coupe, a '77 Celica GT Liftback, a '92 MR2 and a 1970 124 Fiat Sport Spider. I feel incredibly big-headed about my FR-S. I really feel like it is the first car in several decades that embodies the true spirit of vintage Motorsport. In my mind that means that it looks pretty and handles well. I've only lightly modded my car. So far I have removed the rear FR-S badge, installed clear JDM side markers, a 2" aluminum antenna by Perrin and a TRD cold-air intake. Brown leather seating is next on my list of to-do's followed by a TRD exhaust. My car suffers from crickets and an annoyingly low idle on occasion, dips to 500rpm when I roll up to a stop. Not too concerned for now. Fuel economy has been 30mpg consistently. Thanks for maintaining a wonderful website everyone! Looking forward to becoming part of the community. -Andrew |

Ya gonna get some winter/AS tires ... ??
I really should. I've noticed that these tires seem to do poorly in rainy conditions. Or is that just my imagination? This car has limits beyond what I'm used to, so it's not always easy for me to tell. I hate to spend money on tires when these are still brand new, and worth almost nothing if I was to sell them. I had Hankooks on the MR2 and Kumhos on the Fiat. (only because nothing else would fit the Cromadora CD-3's) Tires are like a foreign language to me though. :-( |
