Is there a job you need to do in order to have the dock unlock so you can purchase it? Its not available on any marker and I want the cash you can make from cleaning up the polution.

go collect spaceship parts.

and for the dock, just keep doing actual missions until you see the house icon

Speaking of those random quests, I gave a guy a ride to the airport when his car broke down. Got $100 tip for driving him. He told me when he got out of the car that a certain company's value was going to go up. I then dumped all my money into that company's stocks. Within the game week the stock jumped 37%. Walked away with 3 million in the end.

Wow. I wasn't even going to bother with the stock market when I first ran into it in the game. I'm going to start paying closer attention now...

Just did this last night as well. Tickler stock or something it was? I had Michael dump about 10k into stocks.

It was then I realized he had about 320 stocks in some other company worth over 100k... so I sold them and had enough money to buy the pollution clean up place at the docks.

BTW I asked earlier when that unlocks. It unlocks after Trevor's first heist mission. Which was a blast but I SUCK at flying the Cargobob (or any helicopter period) and Trevor kept making fun of me the whole time.

"Did you take those lessons like I asked?"

"Hey... you know, just sitting in a sub here... wondering if your going to pick me up or not."

"HEY! You were listening when I said fly the choper over the sub and pick me up right?"

"Still waiting!"

"Should have picked someone else for this."

FYI

I have found that Franklin's assassination missions also largest effect on the markets. These are the ones I know about.

The Multi Target (Redwood Cigarettes) Assassination - Increases the price of Deobonaire.

The Vice Assassination - increases the price of Fruit.

The Hotel Assassination - increases the price of Betta Pharmaceuticals.

The Bus Assassination - increases the price of Vapid.

The Construction Assassination - increases the price of Gold Coast. (The Big Score also increases Gold Coast.)

PS: The only stock I know that consistently goes up is Ammu-Nation. I assume because people are always buying weapons.

it's because it's on BAWSAQ, and that's based on all players. the other stock market i think is based on your game.

Buy those stocks before doing the assassinations...got it, I think.

It's funny as hell when you switch to a character and he's already in a police chase or something. Switched to Trevor and he was chasing down some guy through the canal. First thing Trevor said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to show you my junk!"

Switched to Franklin once and he was about to get beaten down by 2 guys. Did a counter and knocked out the first guy then just pulled out a silenced pistol for the second. So many options...
