Ha man this is some obscure thread to remember. But now I'm interested to. What happened with this?

Very, very ordinary dealer service that takes weeks to suss out what is wrong with an engine . . . . not long ago I had my celica in for a sudden mechanical breakdown, it took them approx 1-2 days to systematically strip engine covers to suss out what went wrong & where the broken parts were before ordering new parts & repairing. Easy and although out of warranty, my dealer looks after me in the same manner with issues when in warranty - we have a great relationship as we have known each other for many years, as a result I keep going back for new cars as well as servicing even though they are miles away from home.
