They all do that. It's an autotensioner and the spacing between pulleys there is substantial.
Do it. These power levels are nothing for autos these days. |

I've been running the Innovate Motorsports SC on my AT car for 3800 miles. I have previous mechanical experience as a mtn bike mechanic, and I mounted it myself in 5.75 hours. The install wasn't difficult at all, the parts are all labeled and the install manual is well laid out with photos for each step. Flashing the tune is like updating firmware on your network router. Car started up on first try and I've had no issues with the system. My daily commute is 80+ miles, mostly freeway. If I drive conservatively I get about 28-29 MPG. The power delivery is smooth and linear. Boost kicks in at about 2500-2800 RPMs and pulls all the way to redline. I've had manual NA drivers following me on the freeway who told me that they had to drop 2 gears to keep up with me when I stepped on the gas. I've also been autocrossing for about a year now in the car. I can say for sure that on courses where I'd be in 2nd and going slow when the car was NA it took a couple of seconds for the motor to rev up and get back into the power band. With the supercharger on now that is no longer an issue. I get immediate acceleration out of the turns. I haven't added an oil cooler yet, but I've not seen any increase in the car's running temperature. One thing that I've noticed is that the auto tries to keep the RPMs low, and the Innovate kit delivers power nicely in the lower RPM range. Here's a link with some videos I took right after the SC install: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=133 And here's a dyno graph from a Mustang dyno (not the best pull that day): http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=139 I think that with the intercooler kit, headers, a custom tune (I'm running the Innovate 91 basemap), and some other mods you could get really close to 300. Keep in mind that it isn't just peak HP that matters, it is the area under the curve. Hope this helps. :happy0180:

@ft_sjo I was unable to find the brand of coolant in my setup. The shop that installed the kit mixes their own and refuses to tell me the brand/mixture.
But hopefully you've found what wrong with your kit in that pipe. Anyway 1 week into ownership and my fuel economy has not dropped as bad as i thought. I used to get about 500km from a tank, now getting 450 - 460.
