do it on ur own

1. spraymax 2k = $25 ebay
2. Duplicolor or VHT = $10 Amazon
3. 3M 2000 grit wet sand paper = $10 amazon
4. Meguiar Ultimate Compound = $10 Walmart
5. Acetone (optional) = $10 Homedepot (for correction lol if you mess up)

If you follow the steps, you dont even need acetone.

Your total cost is $55 and call it a day.

FYI, Spraymax only has 24 hrs shelf life. After that, you can just forget about it. Make sure, you have friends who want to do similar stuff. You guys could share the cost for spraymax 2k. I have plenty left even after 10 coats!

This may be a stupid question towards someone that's trying to promote their business... but, I don't have the kind of turnaround time to have my DD down that long and was curious if there is a specific paint code for that candy red that the paint guys where I work could do it?

Any translucent red will work. Most of the time automotive candy paints are in brands higher lines like Dupont's Chromabase, PPG's Vibrance Line, House of Color, Sherwin William's Planet Color line, ect thus you add a LOT to the price.

I can't think of any factory red paint's that are candy, most are just metallics or tri-coat pearls.

If the shop/supplier has an intercoat clear (clear basecoat) just have him add a bit of red to it and shake it for you for the same result.
