Road paint spots on the car - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hey guys,

Today I was washing and waxing my car when I noticed I have small spots of what appears to be paint they use to make the lines on the road on my car. It's the only explanation I have for those spots and I'd like to know if a clay bar is sufficient to make it disappear.

They're very small, size of a pinhead or slightly bigger, but there are a few on the front fenders and front bumper. I'm more worried about the fenders as my bumper has a clear bra on it.

Any advice?

This. Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I had paint splatter along the full length of the passenger side. It came right off with clay.

Clay bar will work as noted earlier. You might marr the paint though (going at it over and over in the same spot trying to knock it down). So a lot of times I use a tar remover to dissolve it. Something like stoners tarminator or carpro TRIX

Ok, do you recommend using clay bar lightly and if it doesn't work, go with the tar remover? Or straight to the tar remover?
