We have some 2013 FR-S's that are 2013's and have the updated radio and LED lights up front. And one with the SE Toyota Borla exhaust option.

Interesting, so I assume the paperwork has the model year as '14?

I'm just surprised they're here already.

I wish it would have been red to match the knee panels. But you hardly notice that it is not matching.

For what it's worth:

I emailed Subaru about breaking in an engine on a long drive home after buying the car. I had asked about an Outback.

The answer was identical to what they gave me when I inquired about a BRZ.

Yes, I only emailed once, but my roommate's Outback (2013) owner's manual states the exact same "break-in" text as my BRZ.

Huh, you're telling me that Subaru designed engines follow a Subaru designed break in procedure? What a world.

Show me a Honda or Chevy manual with the same break in, that'll probably carry more weight. I know the Acura I broke in didn't specify a max rpm, just no redlining or consistent speeds for 1000 miles.

Yeah it may be on the conservative side but when I buy something expensive I try to follow the instructions. Feels a bit like opening soda cans by poking holes with screwdrivers and complaining about the sharp edges or complaining about the battery life on a phone out of the box without charging it.
