I was feeling patriotic and took the flag out to the drive way and did a small photoshoot.
I sat out there for 30 minutes just for a 10 second gust of wind. |

There was definitely an improvement, but it wasn't THAT big. However now with the opticoat, it will look that shiny for a lot longer before I need to wash it.

Actually, it's what I already had. I already had a 2010 Evo with the twin clutch in it. I bought the BRZ to have a fun RWD with a real manual, but that's our third car.
The wife isn't driving the Evo like I thought she would (she loves the car, but it's really not right for the shuttling-around-town stuff she does), so it's not getting driven, and the wife has to park the '06 Prius she does end up driving everywhere on the street. She suggested we trade in the Prius & Evo for a more practical second car, since I was driving the BRZ daily... But I realized I like the Evo better than the BRZ; I'd been driving the BRZ daily because I wanted to get better with the stick shift, and because I thought she wanted to drive the Evo more often -- turns out she doesn't. The Evo's faster, corners better, has steering wheel controls, actually fits four people fairly comfortably, and has a better sound system. The only knock on it is the fuel consumption, and for my daily driving, which is 95% highway, I can usually get 20-22mpg from it -- definitely not as good as the BRZ, but not horrific, either. And the wife said she'd let me get it painted purple. ![]() Anyone in the Bay Area want to buy my 1,100mi silver BRZ Limited? I got the transferable extended warranty on it and everything -- cargo mat, the "chrome fuel door", the works... Looking to pay off the loan, not much more. I'll miss the BRZ, but it's just a "not right now" car for me. Maybe if/when I move into a place where I can more conveniently park three cars... ...Paul |

Last week, coming back from lunch the wind caught the door on my Mustang and drilled one of the guys Acura TLs rear door here at work. ($610.00 ouch.) I am blaming my wife, cause she wanted a Blizzard from DQ on the way back from lunch, I had one in my hand and keys in the other so I did catch the door. (it didn't work)Nothing worse then having to tell a co-worker you just drilled their car. Also why I don't drive the BRZ to work. |
