I then looked on line and you know ... the styling is similar ... in fact, I would imagine changing the badge, exhaust tips, rear lights, and hood and it could fool a lot of people.
Haha I had a gas station attendant come running out to ask how I liked my LFA

I sometimes offer a phrase when talking about my FR-S to people. "It's a poor man's Porsche"

Now that I think about it, this is pretty self degrading of me.

I am finding that more and more people have some sort of knowledge of the car. The model name and sometimes even the manufacturer are not known. But, they have heard others talk about the car and the concept.

Loving it after 2 1/2 months of ownership. 3,600 mi on odo.

Probably you could own and maintain an FR-S for ten years for what it costs to own and maintain a 599 for a few months. Win goes to....... us.

LOL yeah it took me a while to figure out appropriate responses to those questions. Here are the answers I use when talking to someone who doesn't really know much about cars:

Q: Is it fast?
A: Yep, very fast

Q: Is it expensive?
A: Ehh, it wasn't too much.

I can understand mistaking it for a Ferrari 599, or an Aston - the proportions are actually surprisingly similar. I don't understand mistaking it (or an S2000 for that matter) for a Porsche or GT-R though - they don't look anything alike. Anyone who makes that comparison must not know anything about what a Porsche/GT-R looks like.

Went to wash my car at an indoor car wash.. Pulled in and one of the detailers ran over and asked which Aston Martin it was. I started laughing and told him it was a BRZ and he was completely shocked, especially after I told him the price
