Pocket Bikes

So my friends and I decided why not for fun buy some pocket bikes? I'm trying to look online for good sources for good pocket bikes but all seem to be sketchy and not legit enough. Plus, I don't a good pocket bike to get that won't be cheap and break. I'm running on a $400 budget for a good pocket bike. Anybody know what or where I can get really good pocket bikes?

Look no further. Find one on ebay, you could probably find one in your price range. I've ridden and worked on one, these really are scary fast

Chinese bikes are crap initially, expect to fix some stuff. They aren't bad once you replace stuff though.

Also Chinese bikes vary in quality so I'd suggest checking pocketbike forums.

Here's my Blata Elite:

Bah that's not a real pocket bike. Those are decent pit bikes though.

Those pocket bikes are such garbage.

Look for a real pit bike like a used Yamaha YSR50, Honda CR50 or NSR50.

Those aren't pocket bikes either (not in my mind anyways).

The ones you listed are all great bikes though

My little blata turns 14-15k and around 50mph, stable as hell.

I know, that's why I said pit bike. Unless it's a Polini, which are about 2K, don't even bother with the other ebay, pep boys versions since they are garbage. You can get a pit bike, mod it, and have a lot more fun than a pocket bike.

Polini, Blata, DM and GRC all make excellent pocket bikes/minimotos. I prefer Blata and GRC over the others though None of these are chinese, which I agree basically suck.

Good decision. I bought my elite used. Still cost a little more than a Chinese bike but it's so much nicer to ride that it's worth it

Ive have had a "cagllari daytona" pocket bike for several years now. Chinese made pocket bike. I have the half fairing version that runs about $300 new, but they make a similar full fairing verson also. I was amazed to see the amount of aftermarket parts they make for them. Online I can find head kits, a selection of different exhausts, sprockets, even fully built race motors that bolt right in. Except for a new spark plug, mine is bone stock and I havent had any issues with it. Its a fun toy for the price.

uhh i have a 2006 Banshee Sho. something you might want to look into runs about $1k retail; liquid cooled 50cc, whereas most pocket bikes are air cooled. its cheaper than the polini/blata, but has SOO much more power. I barely ride it anymore due to one injury on it =_=.. the powerband is ridiculous on the thing. torque skyrockets at around 8k rpm - 14k.. did afew "accidental" wheelies cus of this.. also did a bike-career ending backflip too LOL.
