The Torque change in the dip is impressive.... retarding both cams in at the bottom of the dip, relative to v 1, really seems to help. i never had time to play around with phasing both cams together on the dyno when i did my sweeps so it's great to see the results. i suspect there may be some more gains up top by doing the same, at least there were for me, retarding both together from 7,000 and up.
Time to start asking some questions, I've done hours of tuning with HPT on GM platforms but this new software is presently greek to me.

Basic question. The tables themselves you've posted picture of. Timing and VVT. The axis's. I understand RPM down the side. What is represented across the top. I've seen the same increments in numerous maps.

RPM X ????

Rpm x Engine Load. At wot, a naturally aspirated car will see a load of approx 1.0 at low rpm, ramping up to around 1.2 at 7000rpm. This will be a viewable channel once datalogging is enabled.

exclude expense from tuners.

$500 is inexpensive. I used to run K-Pro on RSX-S and it costed me more than $1,500 ( not including tuning expenses)
everyone's "expensive" term would be different but in general tuning expense, $500 is very inexpensive.

I've been running around with Stg1 v1.1 in my fully modded NA car (header back full catless) and I've been really happy with it. I think I may need to go back and re-calibrate the Stg2 tune and base it off of this tune. I'm especially happy with how the car drives at low rpm and between 4000 and 5000rpm. Low speed drivability is also improved.

For sure. We haven't seen you in a while so yes, try to make it on 9/28 @ BWW.
Yeah. I'll try to make it. It's because of school I haven't gone to any meets. And gas is expensive!

I love the term old school nasioc..... how about impreza-rs.com members....if you were a member when it was called that, now your talking

I also look forward to seeing shiv's ,mapping

@shiv@vishnu,

Did you notice any change in fueling requirements with the cam changes in the dip between 1.0 and 1.1 base maps?

I'm about to steal your settings and see how they feel

I didn't see any need to make any changes to fuel mapping since the engine is pretty insensitive to fueling at low engine speeds. Easy enough to play around with in Tuner Pro

Thanks for this. Do you have any exhaust or intake mods? I'm still a little uncertain on whether I should bother getting an ecu flash because my car will be kept stock (apart from a motiv catted front pipe), and I thought a 12hp and 15ft/lb wouldn't even register on the butt dyno

You will most definitely feel it. That's a 10% increase in torque in certain RPM ranges. Ranges where you spend most of your time in too.

The only intake and exhaust mods I have is a drop in air filter.

What your posts describes with the v1.1 in in limiting the egr and other emissions bs really hit home for what I hope to do with this car. I'm thinking it will be the starting point for a lot of tunes going forward, really makes sense to base stg2 off 1.1 imho.

Were you able to tackle the stock part throttle low-mid rpm high load knock issues yet ?
