I'm not jobless and I certainly got employed pretty quickly out of college, but not in my field. To get a job in my field I would have needed to go to grad school, which is NOT something they told me at the beginning. That certainly leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that stings of betrayal and deception.

You've got kids going to college and getting out expecting jobs, but entering a job pool where everyone else is more qualified for "entry level" positions where employers want 3-5 years of experience and/or a degree. That's ridiculous horseshit. The applicant pool needs to get smaller and we need a growth of industry in this country, not more entitled and disillusioned kids going to college.

It's sad, when Guff says he was born in 94 my first thought was, "damn, he is young." Then I remembered that 94 is 19 years ago. Not 10. Stupid 2013.

Everyday on my commute to and from work I pass a chick driving a WRX and we wave. I mean EVERYDAY twice a day. Always wanted to stop and meet her one day.

So Tuesday I am at Subaru getting the oil changed and this GORGEOUS woman comes over to me and says "Is that your silver BRZ? We pass each other and wave everyday!!!!" Blew my mind how smoking hot she was!!! Come to find out she works at Subaru.

Now I need to grow a set and ask this chick out!!!

I know stupid story but it was getting heavy in here.

I'm Gen Y, recently graduated as a civil engineer, and facing the harsh reality that there are no jobs in my field... What do I want to do now, I have no idea, I'm juggling between getting a masters degree or study something completely different. Do I feel entitled to a job... no as I'm only 1 of the thousands in my field currently jobless. Do I hate that every job requires 3-5 years of experience, yes, means I can't land a single fucking job. Companies are basically killing the current generation in order to serve the older generation... it's a fucked up world we live in...
