Anyone on 0w20 have torque? Reputable report being made of a drop in oil pressure at high rpms with 0w20, my car is in the shop or I'd check this.

Stock Oil Pressure sensor does not read Oil pressure range, just an on/off switch when pressure is low, so torque is no good.

Also actual oil pressure isn't very relevant. Oil pressure relates to flow, not oil protection. Lower pressure is good, not bad, as it indicates higher flow rates which is good not bad.

Oil protects by forming a flying wedge in the bearings and oil pressure just has to be high enough to push the oil through fast enough to stop it overheating within the bearing.

Sliding components (such as rings) require only enough pressure to splash the bores. Oil protects those purely by film strength, also not related to oil pressure.

There's a reason oil pressure gauges are no longer fitted, and coolant temperature gauges aren't actually gauges anymore. Lay people misunderstand what the engine needs: low oil pressure and high coolant temperature. This is the opposite of what we used to think was required.

Thanks I forgot that the oil sender is just a switch.

I went to google found fastwrx.com and they sell everything needed to install an oil pressure gauge in the left vent :

Another option, if you were looking to monitor a other components, would be the P3Cars vent gauge along with the AEM Pressure Sensor and that oil galley plug. Sure it costs 3x as much, but you can then monitor oil temp, oil pressure, AFR, coolant temp, EGT, vacuum, boost, 0-60 time, etc. so I suppose when all things are considered, you're getting a lot more functionality. However, if you're only concerned about oil pressure then the solution you provided is a good one.

FWIW...i've been running 0w20 Eneos Sustina since I purchased my car new. I've posted 2 UOAs in another thread. I'll be changing the oil this weekend sticking with Sustina but changing the filter from Mobil1 to the stock Subuaru filter. I'll be sure to post the 3rd Sustina UOA once it's received.

It ranges anywhere from 500 miles to 5,000 miles.

Not in my opinion. Some people think they need to "get all of the metal bits out", but the truth is that the manufacturing process is so good there are very little leftover metal bits in a new engine. What is there (e.g. 60 parts per million of copper) will be trapped by the filter anyway if it's large enough to be harmful to the engine.

Truth is it takes 3-4 oil changes to get even this tiny amount of metals out. And I would want the more robust factory fill to be in the engine longer (at least 5,000 miles). Idemitsu says to follow the manufacturers (not the dealer or some random person at ft86club ) recommendation.

Will the new Cusco Oil Cooler decrease the breakdown of the oil?

Possibly. Although, with a fuel dilution reading of a trace and the flashpoint right on the edge of where it should be, fuel from the DI will probably take more of a toll on the oil than anything. TBN was "ok" at 2.0 although some labs will flag it as abnormal at this point or at anything below 2.0.

The insolubles reading is amazing! What oil filter are you using? I'm guessing that this was only your second oil fill on the car (after draining the factory fill). What oil is in the car now? Regardless of what Blackstone says, I would be very cautious about pushing the intervals beyond 6k miles until you establish a trend (maybe 3 uoa's at 6k miles).
