Sorry, been meaning to comment.
Initially, disappointed. When tune was first flashed, and took for road test, I didn't think much of it. Over the next day, it become significantly more powerful. The SC doesn't come in as low as you would expect it to. Its not lag, its just not giving you anything either. About 2700 it starts whining away. The biggest plus is no lag. Something a dyno can't show. I'm not talking dyno runs here. I'm talking on and off throttle. Its wicked for drifting. Similar turbo setup, you go off throttle, and stamp back on , turbo has to spool again. No such problem with the supercharger. Car pulls all the way to redline. And I mean pulls. Stock, I never felt the need to go over 6000 - 6500; as it just died. It doesnt now. it keeps going. I only have stock exhaust. I don't feel its limiting me at all. Realistically it is. But, is the $2500 in exhaust and another tune worth maybe 10hp, when Ive just spent $5000 to get 90hp? I dont think so. Kit doesnt heat soak at all with IC. Track and street driving. This car with this kit, will put alot of cars to shame. Including people with this car with big turbos. Would estimate car would do a high 13 quarter mile now. Mid 13 at best; but I'll say high 13. I'll find out next drag day. |

Inspected all pulleys and I can't see any issues any where. Alignment looks good on all pulleys including the supercharger pulley. Need to keep an eye on this.

Stock clutch was seemingly holiding power fine as well. But I had TRD Flywheel to put in, so put in Exedy Stage 1 as well. Very similar to stock, but increased pedal effort (good thing) now. Its not f-all, it just feels like an OEM sports car clutch, not a Yaris econo shit box nothing clutch, like it had.
Flywheel adds to everything that is good about the SC. SC + IC + Clutch/Fly + 17" Volks + cheap ass rear tyres + stiff rear swaybar = very fun setup. And before the autocross / ten tenths fan boys chime in. Yes it does oversteer now, yes its still controlable. I have a Sprint event next weekend (29th) which is a grip event obviously, and I reckon I'll just run it as is. I'll just adjust driving style. |

Just went out and checked mine. Looks fine. No signs of fraying at all. Any chance the belt was abused when it was installed?

Say, that's a familiar looking carport.
Looking good and I'm guessing you did DIY; is it running yet? I drove Abbey's sprintex car and it was great.

My advice to any with a supercharger, after running one on a previous ride for about 5 yrs is to keep a spare belt and tensioner along with the tools to change them in the trunk.
