Solid question. There's not really a thoroughly flushed out matrix yet, but generally headers = Stage 2. Intake, frontpipe, overpipe, catback, pulleys, etc have no stage title. Only headers require a notable alteration to the tune apparently, so that's the only "stage" designation at this point.

Stock
Stage 1 - intake
Stage 2 - catback + intake ..
Stage 3 - full carless
Stage 4 - aftermarket headers, full catlesss exhaust, intake ...

I know there is no way to get an absolute progression, since there are many combinations and permutations for mods (like when do people do pulleys ...). But i didn't know if there was an existing matrix or not.

thanks again
Unfortunately, there's no standard on this and each vendor uses their own criteria for what they consider Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 1+, Stage 0, etc.

Thanks for all the input guys! I am really trying to figure out who to go with, as this is a big decision to go remote tuning and ditch my local.

You're missing stickers, that's minus 6 stages.

So to get back on topic.....here are 2 dynos that show my issue. The first is where i was prior to the last tuning...the next one is where its at currently. My tuner seems to think this is an ok result, thoughts? Possibly will start a new thread on this. Just not getting the smooth charts im expecting and seeing from others.

Also, notice the dates? Close to 2 months between. He is scheduled that far out, so if there is a problem, or just for update tuning it takes months to get back to him. Is this common? What are other experienceing with turnaround both with remote tuners and shops?

Before....10psi

After....12psi

Thoughts?

Have you confirmed Actuator Spring PSI?

Not yet, i have been in contact with Paul @AVOturboworld, so hoping he will be back soon, as he was going to be sending me the 8psi actuator once back from subiefest. I believe i am still on the 6psi one. If i remove the mcb and simply run wastegate, i am not getting any more than 6psi. So pretty much think its the 6psi actuator. Hoping to get the new to swap out soon.

I was also thinking of getting under the car, pulling the actuator off and running my air compressor into it at low psi, and just slowly increase to see where it goes to.

Sidenote (was just in Seattle the past 4 days and considered picking it up in person) Was not sure if Paul was back though, and didnt want to bug him.

Might as well wait for Paul to send you the 8 psi one. It seems the turbo is not able to hold up the psi after the peak. When I was running 13 psi it would go down to like 11. Now at 16-17 psi, it also dies down to about 11 psi, but yours seem to be dropping a lot hence the actuator psi question.
