Had excellent results from Toni @FA20Club.com. Highly recommend him.

I've had good experiences with both Perrin and FA20Club. Customer service from Visconti left much to be desired, but his NA tune wasn't bad. FI is much better with FA20Club.

Because I have experience with Remote Tuning with both of them. I purchased a tune from both of them. Your name wasn't mentioned in this thread so why did you post!?

What were your pro/con experiences with Perrin and FA20Club? I too will be looking to do remote tuning in the future, but not for a while. I have a warranty I had to use (CEL/SL rough idle tsb), and I won't be doing intake/exhaust mods until I get my suspension tuned to where I like it 110%. Early research ALWAYS helps though imo. FYI: I intend on staying NA and plan on 2.5" Perrin exhaust (front, over, mid pipes and catback), some sort of UEL header that is a close match in diameter to the exhaust, and Perrin CAI.

Perrin was more expensive than FA20Club, but Perrin also has a Vortech car in their shop that they work with closely, so there's that. |

For the guys who have gotten remote tunes ... how many iterations did you have to go through to get a finalized set of maps?
Also how high of a gear did you have to run through to get good datalogs? (not a lot of great places for me to run to the top of 4th or get deep into 5th). thanks. |

Perrin had me go through probably 4 iterations before calling it on my NA tune. I'm currently on FA20Club's 4th pass and will send another log in this week for my FI tune, not sure how many more we'll do after that. Visconti always came back with "looks good" after my datalogs except for the the very first one which was due to my intake bogging at the time (back when AIRAID was all the rage). Pulls were always 3rd gear. 2.5K or so to redline. I've also done casual normal driving through all the gears, but once they have the basics down, they just need the 3rd gear pulls. |

![]() As far as pulls, like Tut said, 3rd for auto 4th for manual if you're able. You're just going for long and smooth, so whatever you can manage. I think the bigger importance is flat ground. Hills, bumps, etc will skew data pretty drastically. |

@King Tut / @Foobar / @Nightbringer - thanks for the replies. It seems like for this platform, its an iterative process.
In other platforms, you typically get a baseline that is 90% there and could custom tune to squeeze more out if you want. The margin amount that can be squeezed feel smaller than those who have FI (for obvious reasons). Are there any set "definitions" of various mods? So we can have a common modifications language? Stock Stage 1 - intake Stage 2 - catback + intake .. Stage 3 - full carless Stage 4 - aftermarket headers, full catlesss exhaust, intake ... I know there is no way to get an absolute progression, since there are many combinations and permutations for mods (like when do people do pulleys ...). But i didn't know if there was an existing matrix or not. thanks again |
