To me there isn't anything that sounds better than rev matching a down shift perfectly. Music to my ears!

I'm welding 4" tips on my stock exhaust and putting that back on Saturday morning. Go ahead and send me a PM if anyone is interested in the BERK single muffler delete. Stickers included lol.

I had the silencers in once and my friend drove my car around a lot... it sounded better than I thought it would. It's not too loud and it sounds a bit throaty. Granted I also have their intake system and that thing is pretty damn loud itself.
but if you intend on always keeping the silencers in I suggest the SP Elite.

i love my invidia n1 and fp combo. great sound and quite loud (catless fp). borla uel headers come in tomorrow... need to figure out what op to get. anyways, i know you said n1 wasn't loud enough but it's actually considered one of the louder exhausts. however, go with a straight through set up if loud is what you want

I think for the majority of people, and not just people here, but all people everywhere, I think more often than not it's for attention. I've never owned a loud car, but I have been in them, and I've learned from first hand experience that loudness adds to the sensation of speed. Of course if the car is slow, this is just going to make it look really really stupid.

Definitely. Although it doesn't need to be loud to do this. Of course, it depends on your definition of loud. An aftermarket is exhaust will almost certainly be louder, but not necessarily what I would consider loud.

EDIT: Oh, and another benefit is that you don't need to look at the tachometer as much compared to stock. Once again though, it doesn't need to be "loud" to achieve this.

NO JOKE I forgot about the tach, pre exhaust I checked it like every 5 seconds especially while I was learning manual. Now i glance at it occasionally lol I know revs based on sound and it also makes using a clutch easier becuase you can hear exactly when the gas cuts out and then right when the gas is going again.

About loudness though, really any aftermarket exhaust will give you the cool things mentioned above, to each their own really, I just feel more in tune with the car and my shifting!
