Because I'm still hanging about around 10 pounds no audible surge yet but my car isnt exagtly quiet , yeah, standard plastic comes with the kit one, still,it works just fine tho with the heat in my engine bay, what do folks run when they want an all metal solution with the standard orifice? I'm considering the new hd setup, too.

Either one would be a bolt in replacement, the dual port giving you the option of being loud/quiet as it comes with a blanking plug so you can run either the noisy horn or the recirc fitting to the filter that comes with the vortech kit.

I am running the horn for fun, very satisfying "whoooooosh" during shifting

Just to add, you do need to clean these every 6 months or so. I just cleaned mine yesterday during an oil change using pneumatic oil, it takes a few seconds to loosen the hoseclamp and pull the unit off, very easy. Gives me something to do while my old oil is being removed.

I definitely smell coolant more prevalent now under the hood. Although not losing any.

Its usually by the over flow tank, as stated its basically vented so I am assuming its common to smell it under the hood on these cars?

What are your temps? You are probably just getting it hot!

Yes 3.5. I think the blue cover that came in shipping said 3.5 on it. Is someone making their own intake hmmmm lol

Cooling the motor, drivetrain stability are bigger issues before you even consider the blower upgrade for more power.

Oops already there. Just installed act clutch. And oil catch can from phastek I need an oil cooler. Koyo rad. And get my blower upgraded. Ugh! An maybe build a custom cold air intake

Possibly or even just a mushroom filter at the end for the sake if my oil lines w the Perrin kit

At long idles the car is always bouncing from 198-212.
There is always a faint underhood scent of coolant. And I see zero leaks.
